A Grand Dining Room

A dreamy open kitchen that flows right into the grand formal dining room.

I decided to use a table that wouldn’t take over the space and four chairs instead of six to leave the room open and airy. There are two accent chairs at the end of the room in the bay of windows, leave them there for extra seating or add them to the ends of the table to provide extra room for dining. Adding a sideboard accent takes up space and provides a surface for decor accents. Sideboards can also double as a place to serve food when hosting large parties so your dishes aren’t crowding the table!

Leave the table setting simple, here I added a large wooden bowl with fruits but an oversized clear vase with branches of greenery would be stunning too.

The rug picks up accents from the fireplace with the original warn turquoise tiles in it (not pictured) while adding a bit of extra color too, notice how the rug doesn’t compete with the rest of the space or make it feel too busy.
