A Simple Holiday Mantle

Simple yes, but so gorgeous and all the smells of Christmas

Fresh White Pine, bits of eucalyptus and stacked wood in the fireplace - simple.

Greenery, raw elements and brass accents create a minimalistic and relaxing setting and it couldn’t be easier to create. You can swap out the brass accents for bronze or matte black - whatever you have on hand. I’ve had the two brass candles for years, they actually stay on the mantle year round so I found this Merry Christmas stocking holder from target to compliment it. Just out of the shot are 3 cardboard cones “Christmas trees” staggered in varies heights that I found for a few dollars from our local craft store last year, a little brass bell and the greenery. I grabbed a fresh white pine garland and eucalyptus from Trader Joes, unraveled the garland onto the corner of the mantle (secured it) and added bits of fresh eucalyptus trimmings into the pine. Now to maintain this I’ll just spritzed it once a week when I’m watering the house plants and that’s it, it’s there for the holiday season to enjoy. I love it’s simple beauty (and smell)!

The fireplace is working but since we haven't used it in 2 years we decided to stack firewood into it, the wood came in bundles (5-7 pieces a bundle) from Lowe’s, we used a hammer to tap the pieces in nice and snug.

I hope you found some holiday inspiration here,
